In today’s globalized world, education should not be confined by
borders—geographical, social, or economic. The American ideal of
education without borders champions access to learning for all,
especially for students who struggle to complete their secondary
education. When young people fail to finish high school, the
consequences reach far beyond the individual. Without a diploma,
students face limited career opportunities, lower lifetime
earnings, and higher risks of poverty. This not only affects
their personal future but also places a burden on their families
and weakens the social and economic fabric of their communities
and countries. Ensuring that every student completes their
education is not just a moral responsibility—it is an investment
in a more stable, equitable, and prosperous future for all. Our
mission is to bring American education to the rest of the world.
ODECA is an NGO that has a mission to bring
American education to Africa. This is achieved in both lower and
high education, and in vocational training. We recruit
volunteers who can identify students who failed their secondary
education and evaluate their levels in English, Math and
Science, and judge if they can succeed if we admitted them in
our offered programs. The student recruitment process is
performed by volunteers who use social media to communicate our
programs.
